Endoscopic Ultrasound & Needle Aspirations

Skilled Gastroenterologists Serving New Jersey

At Gastromed Healthcare, P.A., we perform a number of different procedures intended to examine your gastrointestinal system, including endoscopic ultrasounds with fine needle aspirations. If your doctor has recommended this procedure, turn to our team of board certified gastroenterologists to help.

This test involves fasting, so you will need to stop eating at least 6 to 12 hours before the procedure. If we will be collecting fluid or draining a cyst, you may need to take certain medications, such as an antibiotic, before the test to clear out your colon.

The Purposes of Ultrasound & Aspiration Tests

Throughout the years, we have earned a reputation for our professionalism and the accuracy of our tests. When you come in for your initial consultation, we will determine whether you are a good candidate for this procedure and whether it will help us get to the bottom of your symptoms.
